How to Permit a THOW (tiny home on wheels) as an ADU (accessory dwelling unit) in the City of San Jose:

Reduce the cost and expedite the building process by avoiding foundation installation. To qualify, you must:

Own a lot in Residential zoned areas such as R-1, R-2 and RM with an existing single-family dwelling.
Place your Clever THOW in the rear yard and a minimum of 6 ft from your existing dwelling.
Make sure your undercarriage is hidden from the view of the public right of way
